Experience with Direct to Consumer Genetic Testing—Research
You are being asked to participate in an anonymous survey. We are asking for feedback from healthcare professionals who have counseled individuals after direct-to-consumer (DTC) genetic testing or consumer-initiated genetic testing (CIT) within the last 3 years.
Note: DTC and CIT are defined here as consumer (patient) initiated genetic testing directed to a lab. CIT or DTC testing may trigger involvement by a physician or genetic counselor employed or contracted by the testing laboratory itself.
We are planning to publish summary findings from this survey.
This is an optional survey that will take about 5-10 minutes to complete. No personally identifying information is collected and answers are collected in a way that is anonymous so they cannot be linked back to a specific healthcare professional. If you fill out this survey, your consent will be implied.
This research is being conducted by Clinical Genetics Service at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK). This survey has been approved by the MSK Institutional Review Board.
