SCGC Membership
To best serve the needs of our membership, we have established specific membership categories (see below). If you have not already, please register as a member by logging in at the top right corner. Registering will allow you to update your contact information as needed, as well as give you access to the SCGC Forum.
The Forum is SCGC's online discussion group, where you can post, read, and subscribe to discussions regarding job opportunities, shared resources, and SCGC announcements. View our How-To Guide regarding membership registration via the SCGC website, accessing the Forum, and customizing your notification settings.
Due to the generosity of sponsors and the use of facilities provided by our members for events and operating costs, we are not collecting membership fees at this time.
Membership Categories:

Full member: Board certified or Board eligible genetic counselor working or residing in Southern California

Associate member (subject to approval): 1. Genetic counselor who does not work or reside in Southern California OR 2. Other genetics professional

Student member (subject to approval): Graduate student currently enrolled in a genetic counseling program
SCGC Leadership
We have established Board and Committee Positions, and have assigned temporary positions among some of our founding members and volunteers. We look forward to holding elections in the future. We are currently in the process of delineating the specific roles and responsibilities of these positions.
