Research Survey for Arabic Speaking Genetic Counselors
Dear Genetic Counselors,
My name is Habeeba Awwad. I am a second-year Genetic Counseling Master's student at Keck Graduate Institute. I am inviting you to participate in my research by completing this survey. Your insight as an Arabic-speaking genetic counselor is very valuable to my research. My capstone project is a needs assessment for a formal Arabic genetic and medical language genetic counseling training. To collect data for my project, I am reaching out to any Arabic-speaking genetic counselors who speak any level of Arabic. The goal of my project is to explore ways in which the quality and experience of genetic counseling can be improved for the Arab population. This survey will benefit the Arab population by helping in the development of a tool Arabic-speaking genetic counselors can participate in. This is a voluntary, anonymous survey in English that may take about 15-25 minutes to complete. Your answers to the questions will be recorded and used in my project analysis. The content of the survey may include information regarding your Arabic language skills, clinical experience, and your opinion on the proposed Arabic genetic and medical training course for genetic counselors. Please feel free to share the link to this survey with any other Arabic-speaking genetic counselors. https://qfreeaccountssjc1.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_3QWAyOCmq2kwApE
If you have any questions, comments, or concerns about the research, please contact me at hawwad21@kgi.edu Thank you for your time and participation, Habeeba Awwad
