Organization: Private Maternal-Fetal Medicine & Genetics Practice/Brar Genomics and Perinatal Center
Salary range: $95,000-110,000
Position Summary:
We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Genetic Counselor to join our established and growing prenatal genetic counseling team in the Inland Empire region of Southern California. Our practice is a GDSP-approved Comprehensive Prenatal Diagnosis Center with 7 clinic locations across Riverside and San Bernardino counties.
You will work alongside:
Three Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists, including two board-certified clinical geneticists
One board-certified genetic counselor
One genetic counseling assistant
Experienced ultrasonographers and nursing staff
The ideal candidate will be collaborative, compassionate, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced but supportive environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive genetic counseling for a wide range of prenatal indications, including:
Advanced maternal age
Abnormal NIPT results
Structural anomalies on ultrasound
Family history of genetic conditions
Teratogenic exposures
Obtain and review detailed medical, family, and pregnancy histories
Explain complex genetic information and test options in a patient-centered manner
Coordinate specimen collection and genetic testing
Communicate results and recommendations to patients and referring providers
Participate in follow-up care and referrals for patients with high-risk findings
Travel to satellite clinics within the Inland Empire (local travel only)
Possible opportunity to work remotely on non-clinic days
Qualifications:
Master’s degree from an ACGC-accredited genetic counseling program
Board Certified or Board Eligible
Must be eligible for California Genetic Counselor Licensure
Spanish fluency is a plus, but not required
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
