Pre-GC Internship Program
The USC Keck School of Medicine, Division of Medical Oncology, offers an internship for college seniors or college graduates interested in a career in genetic counseling. This 1-year, 12-15 hour/week program begins in Summer 2026, and offers an immersive experience into the field of genetic counseling with direct clinical exposure, supervised by practicing cancer genetic counselors. For more than 10 years, our two clinical sites at USC Norris Cancer Hospital and LA General medical center have supported students applying to genetic counseling training programs by including them in shadowing, case conferencing, and pedigree work. By joining our team, interns will receive support and learn valuable professional skills to help them become successful applicants for genetic counseling graduate programs. More information can be found at this link: https://keck.usc.edu/oncology-division/training-education/internship/ Applications accepted beginning Feb 15, Deadline is April 1.
