Internship for prospective GC students
The USC Division of Medical Oncology offers an internship for students interested in a career in genetic counseling. This 1-year, 10 hour/week program begins in Summer, 2023, and offers an immersive experience into the field of genetic counseling with direct clinical exposure, supervised by practicing cancer genetic counselors. Over the past 10 years, our two clinical sites at USC Norris Cancer Hospital and LAC+USC medical center have supported dozens of students applying to genetic counseling training programs by including them in shadowing, case conferencing, and pedigree work. By joining our team, interns will receive support and learn valuable professional skills to help them become successful applicants for genetic counseling graduate programs. (Deadline is April 15!).
