Southern California Genetic Counselors (SCGC) invites you to join us for our 6th Annual Education Conference!

The 2023 SCGC Annual Education Conference is a full-day event that will be held on Friday, May 19th, 2023 at the Hilton Orange County/Costa Mesa in Costa Mesa, CA. This event is intended for genetic counselors and genetics healthcare professionals including physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals from a variety of settings, including academic centers, private entities, major healthcare systems, community-based services, clinical laboratories, industry and research. The conference highlights and shares expertise of genetic professionals in Southern California while providing a venue for collaboration and networking of genetics professionals in our region.

The conference presentations will also be broadcast LIVE via Zoom for those who register to attend virtually!

Registration

Registration will open soon! We will send an email to all SCGC members and post on our social media when registration is available for the 2023 AEC. You will also have the option to register to attend virtually via Zoom Events.

If you are registering without purchasing CEUs, please select the "Virtual Admission Only" ticket. If you are claiming CEUs, you must purchase the in-person or virtual ticket "with CEUs" and pay the CEU fee. No refunds will be available.

Continuing Education Units

This event is being submitted to the National Society of Genetic Counselors (NSGC) for category 1 CEU approval. More information to come.

Research Poster & Platform Session

The research posters and platform submissions window will open soon for our 2024 Annual Education Conference. The purpose of this session is for genetic counseling students and genetic counselors to share their research work with attendees. Eligible research projects are capstone/thesis projects or other research projects involving genetic counselors that are being conducted in the Southern California area.
