2023 AEC Announcements
Hello SCGC Community,
We have a few announcements regarding our 6th Annual Education Conference (AEC) being held on Friday, May 19th, 2023 at the Hilton Orange County in Costa Mesa, CA! Check out this year's AEC location HERE.
Call for Speakers:
We are now accepting speaker submissions for our upcoming AEC! If you have an engaging, innovative or informative presentation that you think would be great to present to our SCGC community, we invite you to submit your proposal by February 14th, 2023. You can submit your proposals on our website HERE.
We cannot wait to read your proposals! All speakers will be notified of the committee's decisions by February 28th, 2023.
Volunteers:
Are you organized? Do you have experience with webinars? Or just want to help the SCGC community? We are looking for volunteers for the 2023 Annual Education Conference (AEC)!
Areas that volunteers are needed include:
Program Committee: this one currently needs the most help and has the biggest job to do. The program committee is responsible for recruiting, reviewing, and coordinating conference speakers. They are also in charge of setting up the conference schedule.
Virtual Volunteers: these individuals would help coordinate the virtual component of the conference. This includes working on the Zoom Events platform and troubleshooting online issues the day of the conference.
Additional Volunteers Needed for: recruiting speakers, evaluating speaker proposals, day-of coordination, and buying speaker thank you gifts.
