UCLA union contract negotiations - requesting your support!
Hello SoCal GCs!
It’s that time again that our union will be bargaining a new contract with the University of California. This takes place every 4 years and it’s our opportunity to request fair pay in the next contract. This is where you all come in…while this may be personal for some of you, we are asking that you privately message me with what institution you work for, your income, number of years experience, and annual budget allocation for conferences/professional dues/other. You will remain anonymous.
Four years ago we made this same request to this lovely group of SoCal GCs and it made a difference! Several of you provided us with a redacted copy of a recent pay stub (no name or personal identifiers).The de-identified data was presented during bargaining and led to the UCLA genetic counselors receiving an additional equity increase, bringing UCLA GC salaries closer to fair market rates!
