SCGC Town Hall

Background: The Exeter group was tasked by NSGC to do research and come up with actionable items to address Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (JEDI) issues with a survey and focus groups. The entire Exeter report is available on the NSGC website's JEDI Recommendations page. We are anxious to support the JEDI initiatives of NSGC forward for our diverse SoCal membership's voices to be heard. As such, we would like to come up with a organizational response to submit to the NSGC. 

Purpose: We are holding a virtual town hall to bring our members together to discuss these recommendations and get feedback for our organizational response. Please join us as we would greatly appreciate your participation and input in order to have as many SCGC members' voices heard. 

Town hall schedule:

7:00-7:15 pm Introductions

7:15-8:00 pm Members join breakout rooms of their choice to discuss individual recommendation items. Each room will be moderated by an SCGC board member to discuss a specific topic. Members can go in and out of rooms and topic discussions as they choose.

8:00-8:15 pm Breakout rooms close and we will summarize discussion of each topic with the larger group and take a group photo.
