SCGC 4th Annual Education Conference

Southern California Genetic Counselors (SCGC) invites you to join us for our 4th Annual Education Conference, Examining Our Present to Illuminate Our Future.  The 2021 SCGC Annual Education Conference is a free, full-day, virtual event that will be held on Friday August 20, 2021.  This year’s program will include multiple plenary sessions, an educational breakout session, poster session and, new this year, platform presentations highlighting research done by SoCal genetics providers!

Topics that will be addressed at this year’s conference include:

• Advocacy and Credentialing
• Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
• Contemporary topics in genetic testing

This year’s conference will be held on a new virtual platform with improved capabilities to facilitate interaction of attendees, speakers and sponsors.

This event is intended for genetic counselors and genetics healthcare professionals including physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals from a variety of settings, including academic centers, private entities, major healthcare systems, community-based services, clinical laboratories, industry and research.

Continuing Education Units:

This event is being submitted to the National Society of Genetic Counselors (NSGC) for category 1 CEU approval.  More information to come!

If you are claiming CEUs, you must register by Thursday, August 19th. After this date, you may still register for the conference, but you will not be eligible to claim CEUs. Payment of the $25 CEU fee will be required at time of registration.  NSGC requires collection of your NSGC ID in order to grant CEUs. If you plan to claim CEUs, please have your NSCG ID available at the time of registration.
