Research Survey for Arabic Speaking Genetic Counselors

Dear Genetic Counselors,

My name is Habeeba Awwad. I am a second-year Genetic Counseling Master's student at Keck Graduate Institute. I am inviting you to participate in my research by completing this survey. Your insight as an Arabic-speaking genetic counselor is very valuable to my research. My capstone project is a needs assessment for a formal Arabic genetic and medical language genetic counseling training. To collect data for my project, I am reaching out to any Arabic-speaking genetic counselors who speak any level of Arabic. The goal of my project is to explore ways in which the quality and experience of genetic counseling can be improved for the Arab population. This survey will benefit the Arab population by helping in the development of a tool Arabic-speaking genetic counselors can participate in. This is a voluntary, anonymous survey in English that may take about 15-25 minutes to complete. Your answers…

Anemia and other blood conditions can be complex and difficult to navigate! My thesis project looks more closely at clinical experiences and knowledge about these conditions.
